NOTORIOUS lady killer Simon Cowell (on the prowl at a Jaguar launch) has newly single Miranda Kerr in his sights.

On Tuesday night, Kerr attended the launch of the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe launch party at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles, where she attracted the attention of the music impresario and talent show judgel.

The picture tells the requisite thousand words, and then some.

Kerr's polite preferred handshake was evidently not enough for Cowell, who has pulled her in close for a kiss on the lips.

Kerr's embarrassment is evident as she cannot stifle a giggle.

It's the latest in a trail of incidents putting Kerr in the gossip columns in the wake of her split from husband Orlando Bloom.

On Sunday night she was spotted dining with Leonardio di Caprio and his entourage at Sushisamba in the Palazzo Las Vegas.

Cowell has recently said he has "happier than he has ever been" as girlfriend Lauren Silverman is pregnant with his baby.

The baby - a boy - will be Silverman's second and Cowell's first.

Kerr recently told Self magazine that to shake herself out of "challenging moments" in the wake of her marriage breakup, she would literally "jump for joy".

"After a minute, I feel better, and after a few minutes, I'm really happy. Everything else just drops off. It gets me out of my head and into my body, and it makes me feel present," she told the magazine.
