Husband pleads guilty to estranged wife’s murder
Lynn Cannon was found dead with multiple wounds to her body at the home of her estranged husband in December.
A man has admitted to killing his estranged wife at his home in Perth’s northern suburbs.
The body of Lynn Cannon was found on the night of December 5 last year, following several calls to police and reports of screams from the property in the suburb of Landsdale
Paul Anthony Cannon, 55, appeared in Perth’s Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where he entered a plea of guilty to murdering his 51-year-old wife.
Ms Cannon was found with multiple wounds to her body, while Mr Cannon was taken from the property in a wheelchair suffering.
The couple had been separated for two years prior to the murder, and have two adult sons together.
Appearing via video link from Casuarina Prison, in Perth’s outer-south, Cannon was told he will be sentenced in Western Australia’s Supreme Court on August 30, allowing 10 weeks for pre-sentence and psychological reports to be written.
