Mystery surrounds a person who was seen fleeing a home after it caught fire in Melbourne’s west overnight.
A person has been seen fleeing a suspicious house fire in Melbourne’s west overnight.
Emergency crews were alerted to the blaze a the vacant property in Warrington Crescent, Deer Park about 1am.
A Triple 0 caller reported seeing someone running from the house after seeing it on fire, a Fire Rescue Victoria spokeswoman said.
The fire was brought under control within nine minutes and there were no reports of injuries.
Police are treating the blaze as suspicious.
Authorities are yet to identify the person seen fleeing the scene, and it is unknown if they were a resident or not.
