Health officials are confident they have almost wrapped their arms around the Delta outbreak but the Health Minister has urged caution.

Sense of ‘positivity and optimism’ as Melbourne begins ‘bounce-back five’

Victorians have been warned to not get complacent after all of today's cases were in isolation while infectious.

There were six new cases recorded - with all of these in isolation while infectious and can be traced back to their cluster. There is still one mystery case but contact tracers are working to find its origin.

Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley said now is not the time to become complacent.

“I urge everyone to check their website and get tested if you have been in those exposure sites at the dates and times listed. This virus is still with us, well and truly,” he said.

“We have seven cases in hospital. This includes two in ICU with one of those people, being on a ventilator.”
