IT WAS just 7.30pm when a woman arrived back at her Melbourne home.

She prepared to jiggle her keys and unlock the front door like she would have so many times before.

But a man hiding in the shadows sexually assaulted her on her very own doorstep.

The 22-year-old woman was followed by the man believed to be about 20 years old on June 23.

He grabbed her as she tried to get into the front door of her Coburg home in Wolseley Street in Melbourne’s north.

The man then ran along Wolseley Street, towards Sydney Road.

Victoria Police detectives are now on a manhunt to find the brazen attacker.

The man was about 170cm tall with a medium build.

He was wearing a blue jacket with white-coloured sleeves.

Anybody with information about the attack should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential reports at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
