Six young teens have been arrested at 3am following an alleged burglary at a shopping centre, after they caused chaos during the showing of the latest Bridget Jones movie.
Six children have been arrested following an alleged burglary at a Melbourne shopping centre where they stole drinks from a store inside.
Police were called to the Cheltenham shops, in Melbourne’s south, where five girls and a boy aged between 12 and 14 years old were arrested about 3am on Wednesday.
The arrests were made following an earlier incident where a group of people caused trouble inside a cinema on Nepean Highway about 9.30pm on Tuesday.
Police allege the group entered the cinema and disrupted patrons watching the Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy movie.
According to the Herald Sun, the young teens burst into the cinema at Southland Shopping Centre on Tuesday night where they reportedly vaped, played loud music and yelled at moviegoers about 9.30pm.
A police spokesman said all the children had been interviewed and released pending further investigations.
