Police hunting alleged thieves after motorcycle store ramraided
Dramatic CCTV footage has been released showing two people ram-raiding a motorcycle store and allegedly stealing two bikes and riding gear.
Police are searching for a man and a woman after a motorcycle dealership in northern Victoria was ramraided.
Footage of the incident shows the par using a white Nissan Navara twin cab ute to smash through a glass window at Kyabram Motorcycles and Mowers on Allan St in Kyabram about 4.15am on Tuesday.
Police say the man and woman left the scene towing a Sherco-brand motorcycle behind the ute, before returning a short time later to steal a second motorcycle, as well as riding gear.
Store owner Nic Johnson said the goods stolen were valued at about $30,000.
“It’s pretty disheartening,” he told 7 News.
“I want them to be found. I think they will be. No one likes to see this in their own town.”
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the male was described as approximately 183cm tall with a thin build and wearing navy track pants and a black jumper.
She said the female was about 165cm tall with a medium build and was wearing strappy sandals.
“Officers believe the bike may have been seen in the Mooroopna area,” she said.
“Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.”
