Police are on the hunt for a black sedan, possibly a Mercedes, connected to a drive-by shooting.

Police are searching for a black sedan after a drive-by shooting in regional Victoria.

The shooting happened about 10pm on Thursday, August 1, in Shepparton.

Three people were inside a house that was shot at, though there were no physical injuries.

On Tuesday, police released a 14-second CCTV clip of a car they say is linked to the shooting. The car appears to have a sunroof and is well lit as it is driven under a street light.

The incident happened on Murray St in the southern suburbs of the regional city.

About 10.10pm, a black sedan, believed to be a Mercedes, drove along Murray St and four shots were fired from the car towards a house.

Police were told the car fled north onto the adjoining Lachlan Crescent.

Footage of the car has been released by police in the hope of prying out information.
