Man dead, another seriously injured following drive-by shooting in Melbourne’s west

Police are on the scene of a shooting outside a pool hall in Melbourne’s west overnight.

One man has died and another is seriously injured after a drive-by shooting in Melbourne’s west overnight.

At least one gunman is on the run after several shots were fired from a moving vehicle outside the All Stars Lounge pool hall in Ravenhall at about midnight, police said.

Emergency services were called to the venue on Westwood Drive soon after and found one man with serious injuries.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Soon after another man presented himself to hospital with life threatening injuries, according to Victoria Police.

He has since died.

Homicide squad detectives, local police and detectives were scouring the scene on Sunday morning and have cordoned off the area.

Forensic police could be seen collecting evidence – including what appeared to be a hatchet – and canvassing the roadways for bullet casings.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
