Man fronts court over woman’s Northcote death
A man has fronted court after homicide squad detectives laid charges over the death of a woman in Melbourne’s inner-north on Wednesday night.
A man has faced court following the gruesome death of a woman in the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Northcote on Wednesday night.
The man, Jo Lo Bianco, 52, has been charged with one count of murder, according to documents released by the court.
Mr Lo Bianco made no application for bail and was remanded in custody to reappear at a date in April.
Late on Thursday, Victoria Police said homicide squad detectives had charged a 52-year-old Northcote man over the woman’s death. She was allegedly found with significant facial injuries in the garage of a home on Brickworks Lane before 8pm.
The Herald Sun reported that the woman, 51, was found by her daughter.
