A man has been charged after allegedly fleeing on foot following a crash that left a woman fighting for life.
A man has been charged following an alleged hit-and-run that left a woman fighting for life.
A red Holden Commodore collided with a silver Mazda hatch on Barwarre Road, Geelong about 6.15pm on July 17.
The female Mazda driver was flown to Royal Melbourne Hospital in critical condition.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson at the time said the woman, in her 40s, had upper and lower body injuries.
The male Commodore driver allegedly dumped the vehicle and fled the scene on foot, while a male and female passenger of the Commodore remained at the scene.
The 34-year-old male and 21-year-old female Commodore passengers from Grovedale were both taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police arrested a 23-year-old Whittington man on Monday afternoon and he was charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and fail to assist in a serious injury collision.
He is expected to appear at Geelong Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
