Four arrested after alleged Melbourne shooting left two dead
Police have arrested four people over shooting deaths in a Melbourne suburb earlier this month, after a major manhunt for a man who allegedly fled the scene.
Police have arrested four people after a couple were allegedly shot dead in Melbourne earlier this month.
The men, from the south east Melbourne area of Narre Warren are being interviewed by police in relation to the deaths of Rye man Jack Gilmour, 29, and Mornington woman, Charlyze Hayter, 19.
It’s understood the 29-year-old man was known to police and lived at the property.
On Friday, police arrested two Narre Warren men, 25 and 24, a Narre Warren South man, 24, and a 28-year-old from Narre Warren North.
Police believe the deaths on December 2 occurred after a man and a woman had attended the Parson Street address and became involved in an altercation with the home’s residents.
Reports of an altercation led emergency services to attend the scene at 4am, where they provided medical treatment to two people with gunshot wounds. Both the Rye man and the Mornington woman died at the scene.

At the time of the shooting, police said a second man was believed to have fled the address before police arrived, sparking a manhunt.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
