Police said a male motorist was approached by the woman asking for a lift in Brunswick In Melbourne in March and became aggressive when he refused.
The man in his car at the intersection of Kelson Street and Bell Street about 4.20pm on Tuesday, March 15, when he was approached by a woman who was looking for a lift to Sunshine.
However, when he refused she allegedly pulled out a syringe from her handbag and began stabbing the man’s windows and panels before walking away.
The driver, who was not injured during the incident, managed to film the terrifying encounter on his mobile phone before reporting it to police.
Police have released the image of the woman in the hope that someone will come forward to help identify her.
The woman is described as caucasian, mid-late 20s, with long blonde hair and was wearing a blue dress and black boots at the time.
