The entrances to the property are gated, with a hi-tech discreet security system keeping watch over it all.
The interiors boast natural materials like stone and wood and sunlight streams in through the large windows.
The ceilings are high beamed, and coffered, while French doors and fireplaces feature throughout.
While the double-height great room is light and bright, the mansion is anything but monochromatic, with the walls in the dining room a moody, textured copper colour, and the built-in cabinetry made of dark wood.
The impressive office also has a darker palette and impressive, dark cabinetry.
The home theatre is set up like with a plush lounge rather than formal seating, making it a homely place for the star pair to kick back and watch one of Diaz long list of feature films.
The second floor devotes an entire wing to the primary bedroom suite, which features a fireplace, sitting area, dressing area with double wardrobes, and double baths.
The guesthouse can also be configured as a home office.
The immaculate grounds feature a pool with waterfalls that is child-proofed with a black, wrought-iron fence, which is camouflaged by greenery.
The landscape is also highlighted by walking paths through hillside gardens and rolling green lawns.
While the pair hope to make a sizeable profit on this Benedict Canyon estate, Diaz and Madden will still have an impressive luxury real estate portfolio to their names.
In 2022, the couple shelled out $12.67m (A$18.7m) for a six-bedroom, 10-bathroom mansion in the star-studded Montecito community
Neighbours at that property include Oprah Winfrey, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Ellen DeGeneres, among other celebrities.
They also reportedly own a $9.5m condo in New York City, as well as Diaz’s longtime home above the Sunset Strip in the Hollywood Hills.
