Police are investigating a deliberately lit blaze which tore through a vacant building overnight.

The fire on New Norfolk’s Blair St was sparked about 1am on Tuesday morning, authorities say.

Tasmania Fire Service extinguished the fire, with investigators certain the fire had been deliberately lit.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the fire and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the fire, or anyone acting suspiciously nearby at the time.
