A SUSPICIOUS fire has caused about $150,000 damage to a house in Wynyard on Tasmania’s North-West Coast.

A SUSPICIOUS fire has caused about $150,000 damage to a house in Wynyard on Tasmania’s North-West Coast.

The Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police were alerted to the blaze in Bowick Court about 10pm yesterday.

The residence was engulfed in flames by the time crews arrived, with the fire extinguished a short time later.

The occupants of the property were not home at the time.

A fire scene examiner, Forensic Services and CIB officers also attended the blaze.
