The man in the big red suit has been busy already, with a packed weekend schedule of parading and present-giving.
Hundreds lined the streets of Rosny yesterday for the third Eastlands Christmas Parade, featuring Warrane Primary students, members of the Warrane Mornington Neighbourhood Centre, Howrah cub scouts and, of course, Santa.
Eastlands centre manager Craig Connell said the event was all about bringing the community together to celebrate the festive season with family and friends.
Carolling season in the greater Hobart area kicks off at the Glenorchy Carols by Candlelight event at Tolosa Park on December 10, followed by Clarence Carols by Candlelight in Bellerive on December 11 and the City of Hobart Carols by Candlelight at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens on December 18.
