THE talents of 1000 Tasmanian primary school students will be on show tonight at the Derwent Entertainment Centre.

The 41st annual combined primary schools band and choir concert includes students from 24 state primary schools, who will perform a range of musical styles in concert bands and a 350-voice choir.

Tonight’s concert will also include a performance by the combined New Town and Ogilvie high schools concert band, which won a gold award at this year’s Victorian Music Festival.

The concert starts at 7pm.
