Shoppers spot eastern brown snake outside ALDI store
Amazed shoppers have filmed the moment an eastern brown snake tried to slither inside ALDI’s Adelaide Airport store.
Shoppers have been left stunned after witnessing a snake slithering outside a shopping centre’s door.
The eastern brown snaked its way up to ALDI’s Adelaide Airport store on Friday afternoon, with one shopper capturing the reptile on camera as it tried to manoeuvre up the shopping centre window.
Measuring about 2m in length, the brown snake them made itself at home as it coiled up in a shopping basket before shoppers tipped it into a bucket and waited for a professional snake catcher.

“Be careful, I wouldn’t go any closer because he’ll jump,” the snake wrangler said.

It’s unknown how long the snake had been slithering through the supermarket, or if any other shoppers had a close encountered with the reptile.

Last week, another eastern brown snake was found at McLaren Vale’s Wirra Vineyards.
According to the snake catcher, eastern brown season has experienced a two-month delay, with more brown snakes sightings expected in early winter.
