In a reptilian ‘Where’s Wally?’ moment, an Adelaide reptile catcher has posted a perplexing picture to Facebook of a brown snake caught recently.
Followers of Adelaide Snake Catchers took to its Facebook post to try to spot the snake, which was found at McLaren Vale’s Wirra Wirra Vineyards.
The juvenile eastern brown snake had hidden itself in-between the bricks of a staircase the catcher said was “used regularly by staff” in a production area.
“He took some getting out but now the staff can have their stairs back and they’re happy,” snake catcher Ange Broadstock said.

“They (Wirra Wirra Vineyards) had another snake catcher the day before but they couldn’t catch him,” Ms Broadstock said.
“Safe to say they will be calling us (Adelaide Snake Catchers) from now on.”
Ms Broadstock with the help of the Wirra Wirra staff managed to flush the snake out of the bricks with a hose.
“He had chosen a winter spot,” she said.
The snake catcher said brown snake season has seen a two-month delay so to expect more brown snakes in early winter.
Wirra Wirra Vineyards’ sales and marketing director Luke Tyler said Adelaide Snake Catchers “did a great job of catching the snake”.
Mr Tyler said the snake was not close to public areas, including the restaurant and cellar door.
If you were unable to spot the eastern brown, here it is.
