SA Police hunt for thugs after Munno Para home invasion

Police are hunting a group of people who allegedly invaded a suburban home in the early hours and assaulted three people, including a 78-year-old man.

Three people, including an elderly man, have been assaulted in a brutal early morning home invasion.

South Australian Police allege the shocking act of violence occurred at a home on Galda Way in Munno Para, in Adelaide’s north, about 1.15am on Saturday morning.

A group of people armed with a weapon entered the property and demanded money from the occupants, police claim.

The thieves then allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man, a 61-year-old woman and a 78-year-old male with a metal pole.

“The 51 and 61-year-olds were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” a police spokesperson said.

Police officers searched the area after the alleged assault but the suspects have not yet been located.
