Adelaide Airport evacuated over security breach
The airport was evacuated following a security breach.
Flights have been delayed after Adelaide Airport was evacuated following a security breach.
The security breach reportedly occurred in the airport’s main terminal about 11am on Monday, according to The Advertiser.
The evacuation was a result of a screening breach, with a statement from Adelaide Airport confirming re-screening has commenced.
It’s understood passengers arrived on a regional flight and entered the terminal without being adequately screened, triggering the evacuation.
“An orderly evacuation of the terminal has been undertaken and re-screening of passengers has commenced,” a statement from Adelaide Airport read.
