Earlier this week FINA – the world’s international swimming body – banned transgender women from participating in women’s elite competitions. And it’s a move that’s divided the entire sporting world, with everyone from Caitlyn Jenner to Cate Campbell weighing in. Rowdie catches up with Ricki Coughlan, one of Australia’s first public transgender athletes, to discuss why the decision is damaging, and the very surprising reaction she received when she was publicly outed in 1991.
