NSW man arrested after alleged fatal hit-and-run north of Bundaberg
A 69-year-old man has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and leaving the scene without obtaining help.
A motorcyclist has died after being hit by a car on a major Queensland highway.
The motorbike rider, 68, was travelling on the Bruce Hwy, near Booyal Dallarnil Rd, Booyal, when he was allegedly hit by a Ford Ranger about 11.10am on Sunday.
He died at the scene.
A 69-year-old New South Wales man has been arrested after allegedly leaving the scene.
He has been charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death and leaving the scene without obtaining help.
The NSW man remains in custody in Queensland and is set to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on Monday.
Witnesses to the crash or those with relevant dashcam footage are urged to contact Queensland Police.
