Woman’s body discovered on Kedron Brook Bikeway, Brisbane

A member of the public made the grim discovery on a popular bikeway in a major city.

A woman’s body has been found along a popular bikeway in Brisbane on Monday morning.

The grim discovery was made by a member of the public who was passing through Kedron Brook Bikeway in Lutwyche, in Brisbane’s inner-north at about 5.40am.

Emergency services were called to the scene, but the woman was declared dead.

“Initial investigations indicate that the woman’s death is non-suspicious,” a Queenlsand Police spokesperson told NewsWire.

A crime scene has been established, with investigators working to determine the woman’s cause of death.

The bikeway has been closed until further notice, and the public have been encouraged to seek alternative routes.
