Police have released body-cam footage of the moment a female officer chased down a man attempting to break into a home in rural Queensland.
Shocking footage has emerged of the moment a female police officer chases down a man allegedly attempting to break into a house in rural Queensland.
The video shows a man wearing a hi-vis jumper leap from the roof of a property on Farrow Rd in Chambers Flats, before a police officer chases him through the backyard and over the fence.
The man can be seen jumping into the driver’s seat of a parked black Mazda, before the officer attempts to remove him from the vehicle.
Police said the man then drove away, injuring the female officer, who was transported to hospital in a stable condition.
Queensland Police released the video on Wednesday, seeking information from the public about the burglary and hit-and-run incident that has been under investigation since last June.
It is alleged a second man had also fled from the scene on Farrow Rd.
The dog squad attended and searched the area however neither man was located.
“Police have released body-worn footage of one of the men leaving the scene, and appeal to the man or anyone with information that could assist police investigations, to come forward,” a police spokesperson said.
