Man fighting for life after vicious alleged Nambour bus station assault

A man is fighting for life after a vicious alleged assault outside a bus station.

A man is in hospital fighting for his life after a vicious alleged assault near the Nambour bus interchange.

The alleged attack happened about 3pm, the police said on Sunday afternoon.

“Emergency services were called to the Civic Way address at approximately 3.15pm to reports of a fight between two men, believed to be known to each other,” the police said.

“Upon arrival, a 39-year-old man was located with serious head injuries.

The Queensland Police are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a man at the Nambour bus interchange.

“He was taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for treatment.”

It is understood his alleged attacker fled the scene.

Nambour is a small town about 110km north of Brisbane.

Witnesses or anyone with information is urged to contact police.
