A man has been charged after he allegedly groomed and raped a 14-year-old girl he met on an online chat platform.
A man has allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl after grooming her on an online chat platform.
Police allege a 29-year-old used an online chat platform to talk to a 14-year-old girl before meeting her twice in June this year in Brisbane’s south.
A report was made to police on July 10 and an investigation was launched.
A search warrant was executed at an Underwood address in Logan, Queensland, on July 11 and the 29-year-old man was taken into custody later the same day.
He has now been charged with two counts of rape and one count of grooming a child under 16 years.
The man is set to front the Wynnum Magistrates Court on September 16.
Investigations remain ongoing, with police appealing to anyone who may have experienced something similar to come forward.
