A young woman has been found dead after vanishing from a campground in rural Queensland.
A young Brisbane woman has been found dead after she vanished from a campground in rural Queensland.
The 21-year-old was last seen at a campground on Inverramsay Road in Goomburra, south of Toowoomba, at 11.40pm on Thursday. She was wearing a pink jumpsuit and trackpants.
She was reported missing to police when she did not return to the campground.
A search and rescue operation started about 2am on Friday.
The search resumed at dawn on Friday. Her body was found close to the campground at about 8am.

“An aerial search was conducted, and a land-based search resumed at first light this morning,” police said.
“The woman was located deceased nearby.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner.”
