Amber alert: Four boys missing in Queensland

UPDATE: Police have found four boys unharmed after earlier locating a vehicle used in their suspected abduction.

POLICE have located a woman and four boys who were the subject of an amber alert.

Police said they were found unharmed at an address in Edmonton near Cairns, after an urgent search by authorities.

The resolution followed soon after a vehicle of interest was located in Cairns.

The boys were feared to be at “significant risk” after being taken by the woman, who was known to them.

Police had asked for “urgent public assistance” to help locate the boys, aged nine, eight, four, and eight months old, after they were reported missing from Edmonton, near Cairns.

The boys were last seen with 27-year-old woman Justine Margaret Murphy, who is known to them, at an Archibald St address this morning, police said.
