Woman charged with murder after allegedly stabbing her husband in western Sydney
A Sydney woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed her husband, who later died from his injuries in hospital.
A woman has been charged with murder after she allegedly stabbed her husband in western Sydney on Saturday night.
Police were called to a home on Blaxcell Street in Granville where they found Santosh Gautam, 34, with serious injuries.
He was rushed to Westmead Hospital but he later died.
A woman in the home, Numa Gautam, also 34, was taken to Westmead Hospital where she received treatment under police guard.
She was later discharged and taken to Granville Police Station, where police charged her with murder over the alleged domestic violence incident.
She did not apply for bail in Parramatta Court yesterday.
The couple, both from Nepal, had been stressed over visa issues in recent months, according to a report from 9 News.
Police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
