The wife of slain Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu has broken her silence three days after he was shot multiple times by an unknown man.

The wife of slain Lone Wolf bikie Yusuf Nazlioglu has broken her silence for the first time since her partner was shot dead in front of her on Monday.

Mr Nazlioglu, 40, and Jade Nazlioglu, 27, had arrived at their Rhodes apartment complex, west of the Sydney CBD, at about 6.30pm when an unknown man approached and opened fire.

Mr Nazlioglu was shot multiple times and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he died at about 7.15am on Tuesday.

His wife on Thursday morning took to Facebook and changed her profile picture to one of the couple lovingly embracing each another.

Ms Nazlioglu was pictured in a full-length yellow dress, grinning up at her partner. He wore a full black ensemble and planted his hand on Ms Nazlioglu’s bottom.

In the hours following the photo change, more than 100 people expressed support for the heartbroken widow.

“Thinking of you during this time Jade,” one comment read.

“Sending lots of love and hugs your way,” another said.

In the wake of his death, it’s been reported Mr Nazlioglu was the mastermind of a brazen extortion against a well-known crime family before being executed in a targeted hit.

Underworld sources told The Daily Telegraph, Nazlioglu had stolen a number of luxury cars – including a Bentley – from a rival criminal and was a marked man.

“It was only a matter of time. Sydney is a dangerous place at the minute, man,” the source said.

Assistant Commissioner Jason Weinstein said police were also investigating a potential link between a “verbal argument” at a Brooklyn cemetery and Mr Nazlioglu’s death.

“Obviously it’s very widely reported that Yusuf Nazlioglu was acquitted of a homicide of Mick Hawi back in 2018. We are exploring that. We do have some reports there was a verbal argument in Brooklyn cemetery a few weeks ago,” he told Today.

“So that is one line of inquiry. These matters are complex. These individuals ingratiate themselves whether it’s in drug supply, whether it’s extortion offences, whether it’s other criminal activity, and that’s why it makes these investigations so complex.”

Mr Nazlioglu was two years ago acquitted by a NSW Supreme Court jury of being behind the 2018 murder of Comanchero boss Mick Hawi in the car park of Rockdale Fitness First.

There is no suggestion Mr Hawi’s family had any connection to the death of Mr Nazlioglu.

Mr Nazlioglu was also convicted on an unrelated charge of possessing a prohibited firearm and sentenced to three years’ jail, before being released on parole in September last year.

A heavy police presence was seen in Rhodes following Monday’s shooting, with large areas being taped off to the public in the aftermath.

It is the latest in a string of violent incidents following a feud between the Alameddine and Hamzy organised crime groups.

Police have appealed for any information on the shooting as their investigation continues.

As inquiries continue, police urge any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward and contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
