Three arrested and $1.5 million in cash and designer goods seized in Sydney raids
Police seized over $1 million worth of designer handbags, shoes and watches during a raid on a “sophisticated” Sydney cocaine syndicate.
A loot of designer goods worth almost $1 million has been seized in raids police claim are connected to a sophisticated cocaine syndicate.
The high-end goods were seized along with hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash. Three Sydney men have been charged over their roles in the alleged syndicate, which police say has now been dismantled.
Police photos from the raids show incredible stacks of riches, including piles of boxed designer goods such as shoes, bags, watches and accessories as well as huge wads of cash.
Police raided four homes at Old Guildford and Merrylands on Wednesday following a six-month investigation into drug supply across Sydney’s southwest.
During their searches, police seized 11 weapons, including eight Glock semiautomatic pistols and an extended Glock magazine, as well as bullets, knuckle dusters and a stun gun.
Police also seized “a variety of prohibited and restricted substances, including cocaine, MDMA, cannabis, steroids and Valium”.
Photos of the raids also show wads of cash in recyclable bags — police counted a total of $420,000 in cash and uncashed cheques. They also seized luxury goods valued in excess of $1 million.
Photos from NSW Police show boxes of shoes and bags from brands like Chanel, Louise Vuitton, Hermes, Versace, Fendi, Givenchy and Gucci.
Three men — two aged 30 and a 23-year-old — were arrested and charged with a range of drug and gun offences.
They were all refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
A fourth man, aged 25, was issued a future court attendance notice for alleged cocaine possession.
