Teen, four men charged after police seize alleged arsenal of stolen guns
Police have charged five people – including a teenager – after 15 allegedly stolen guns were seized during raids.
Five people, including a 17-year-old teen, have been charged after 15 allegedly stolen guns were seized in police raids across northern New South Wales.
The weapons were allegedly stolen from a property in Moree, more than 600km north of Sydney, in May.
Detectives arrested a 36-year-old woman on June 1, charging her with one count each of conceal serious indictable offence and do act intending to pervert the course of justice.
Further inquiries lead to officers from State Crime Command’s Drug and Firearms Squad, Raptor Squad, and Dog Squad executing eight search warrants across Moree on Wednesday and Thursday.
Four guns, gel blasters, mobile phones and other items of interest were recovered.
Four males – one aged 17, two aged 30, and one aged 32 – were arrested and taken to Moree Police Station.
The 32-year-old man was charged with seven offences, including possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, three counts of possess unauthorised prohibited firearm, and two counts of possess unregistered firearm-not pistol or prohibited firearm.
One 30-year-old was charged with negligent driving, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, and breach of bail.
The other 30-year-old and the 17-year-old were each charged with supply firearm to person unauthorised to possess it.
All four were initially refused bail, before all but one of the 30-year-olds were granted conditional bail.

The 36-year-old woman was also granted conditional bail and is due in Moree Local Court in July.
