Man on firearms, weapons charges after police raid Tahmoor home
A man will face court today after a slingshot and a rifle barrel were seized from a home in Sydney’s southwest by officers guided by a special police operation aimed at disrupting organised criminal networks.

A man will face court today after police raided a home in Sydney’s southwest - seizing a slingshot and the barrel of a .22 rifle.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command hit a Tahmoor home just after 9am yesterday to conduct a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO) compliance search.
They were acting on advice from Strike Force Hawk, a police team put together in October tasked with disrupting organised criminal networks operating in Sydney.
The items found in the search will undergo forensic examination.
A 54-year-old was arrested at the home and taken to Narellan Police Station, where he was charged with use prohibited weapon contrary to prohibition order, possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, possess a barrel for a firearm unless authorised by licence, and firearm etc found at premises-subject to prohibition order.
He was bail refused to appear at Picton Local Court today.
