Teen fined $1070 for Macca’s drive-thru stunt

A P-plater playing a prank at a Macca’s drive-thru has been hit with a series of fines by police after he was caught on camera.

A P-plater has been fined more than $1000 after he drove through a McDonald’s drive-thru in south west Sydney on the weekend with two people lying on his vehicle.

About 4.55am on Saturday the Stanhope Gardens driver, 17, was filmed driving a blue Hyundai Getz through the Castle Hill McDonald’s drive through.

A photo shared by NSW Police Traffic and Highway Patrol Command shows two other teenage males lying on the bonnet and roof of the car.

The Hills Highway patrol conducted further inquiries and issued three infringements to the driver over the stunt, including two counts of drive with passenger in/on part of vehicle not permitted, not comply P1 licence condition (no P-plates) and fail to notify authority of change of residential address within 14 days.

The fines for the three infringements equalled $1070 and eight demerits.

Police also said their inquiries into the two males who were laying on the outside of the car were continuing.
