NSW Police charge two men over attempt to supply meth disguised in packets of tea

NSW Police have arrested two men after they allegedly tried to disguise $20m worth of methylamphetamine in a unique way.

Two men have been charged after they allegedly try to disguise $20 million worth of methylamphetamine in packages of tea.

State Crime Command’s Organised Crime Squad executed a warrant at a property in Greenacre in western Sydney about 10.50am on Thursday.

Police will allege they found the two men – aged 49 and 56 – weighing packages of methylamphetamine disguised as tea.

The two men were arrested and charged with supplying a prohibited drug with a greater large commercial quantity and participating in a criminal group.

Both men were refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Friday.

The investigation under Strike Force Canovellas continues, as detectives work with the Drug Enforcement Administration and Thai authorities to establish the origin of the prohibited drugs.
