Arrests follow raids at quaint-looking remote house hiding massive drug lab
Police have seized almost $9 million worth of drugs from a quaint-looking house hiding a secret drug lab in southeastern NSW.
A quaint and somewhat neglected house in the NSW Southern Tablelands was concealing a drug lab and millions of dollars of illicit substances, police have alleged.
Four men, including a Spaniard, have been charged after drugs with an estimated street value of $9 million were seized by NSW Police at a secret drug lab in Yass.
The four men, aged 19, 25, 35 and 40, were arrested outside a hotel in Yass just before 7.30am on Tuesday following a two-month investigation into the manufacture and supply of cocaine and methylamphetamine.
A search warrant executed at a rural property uncovered a large-scale clandestine laboratory, and police seized 30kg of cocaine, chemicals used in the manufacture of drugs, drug paraphernalia, Australian and European cash and mobile phones.
All four men were charged with manufacture a large commercial quantity of prohibited drug and supply large commercial quantity of prohibited drug.
They were refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today.
