16-year-old charged with murder of elderly man on Central Coast
A 16-year-old has been charged with murder after the dead body of an elderly man was discovered by police.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of an elderly man who was found dead on the Central Coast earlier this year.
A NSW Police investigation into 77-year-old man’s death led to the serious charge laid against the teenager.
The victim was found with critical injuries at about 10am on February 10 after emergency services responded to reports the body of a man had been located inside a house on Pendant Parade, Killarney Vale.
He died at the scene.
A crime scene was set up and forensically examined by specialist police.
Strike Force Apollo was established in March this year to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
It led to the teenager being charged with murder when he attended Wyong Police Station about 11.30am on Friday.
He was refused police bail and is due to appear at a Children’s Court today.
