Melbourne milk prankster taken offline after despised pranks
A Melbourne prankster whose stunts have enraged the city has not had the last laugh.
The TikTok account of an enigmatic Melbourne prankster has been taken down and police have appealed for information after his stunts enraged the nation.
A young man who goes by the moniker “giddynokiddy” made headlines on Monday after sharing videos and boasting of several incidents in which milk was poured on members of the public around the Yarra in Southbank.
In one clip he was shown hurling milk off the Evan Walker Bridge in Southbank onto people in hired leisure boats below.
Another showed a bystander almost struck by a half-full milk bottle from a rooftop.
One of the unfortunate parties was a group of friends who hired a Go Boat for a birthday celebration.
Footage from both the party and the alleged offender showed the moment they were covered in milk.
“You guys want some milk,” the young prankster asks.
“Don’t! Oi!” the four young women plead before they, their cheese platter and Bluetooth speaker, are soaked by dairy.
The aftermath showed the women and their belongings drenched.
Victoria Police issued a statement on Tuesday afternoon revealing they were “investigating after a number of people on a boat were sprayed with milk in the CBD over the weekend” and asked for anyone who witnessed the incident or who had information to “please come forward”.
The young man, who has changed his name from Josh to James online, has copped fierce criticism since with many calling to report the videos and accounts to have them removed.
Social media sites like Reddit, TikTok and Instagram shared the accounts widely in hopes users would report the content.
Despite going viral on Monday, giddynokiddy’s social media presence has been whittled down to a singular Instagram post after his TikTok and prank videos were wiped.
The bizarre video of his wobbling legs, captioned “put em on the news”, has become the inbox for his criticism.
“Why don’t you do a workout or something? Something constructive, you won’t be bored pouring milk on people,” one wrote.
“Definitely someone who didn’t get enough love from mummy and daddy that is looking for attention,” added another.
In a rather nonsensical messenger back and forth with the prankster, he told news.com.au he wished to go on live TV and questioned the newsworthiness of his pranks, which were picked up by news outlets nationwide on Monday.
“For sure, i require no questions and i speak on free will and i will be on live tv! (sic)” he said in response to a request for an interview.
The prankster issued grovelling pleas for mercy on TikTok shortly before his account was taken down.
“Police have phoned my parents, are you guys happy now? I have a criminal record now, never ever going to be able to live life. you happy?” he said in one interaction.

“Why’d you do this to me. you ruin my life over a ruined day, you upped the anti, im just a kid and you ruined my life,” he said in another, tagging one of his victims who had been working to call out his behaviour.
“Please stop contacting my school, my school has caught me and I am facing expulsion. Can’t believe you would do this to (a) minor,” he reportedly wrote.
Victoria Police has been contacted for further comment but a spokesperson told news.com.au on Monday that none of the incidents were reported to the police.
