Melbourne man may have been shot at another location
A MAN who died from gunshot wounds in suburban Melbourne was moved from where he was originally shot, police believe.
A SHOOTING victim was being rushed to hospital by a friend when he died on the way in suburban Melbourne, police believe.
The victim died in Millewa Crescent in Dallas, in Melbourne’s north, after the driver of the car he was in pulled over and called for help.
A member of the public called triple-0, but despite paramedics working frantically to revive him he couldn’t be saved.
The Herald Sun reported the driver stayed with his dying friend and was last night speaking with police.
Neither man was known to police.
Police believe the men attended an unknown location possibly in the Broadmeadows/Dallas area where the shooting may have occurred.
A section of Millewa Crescent behind the Dallas Shopping Centre has been sectioned off. A car with its hazard lights flashing and the driver’s side door ajar was being filmed by forensic officers.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the death are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing,” police said in a statement on Tuesday.
There have been no arrests.
