A man has pleaded guilty in a Perth court over the stabbing murder of one man and injuring two others in a frenzied knife attack.

They stem from an incident in the northern Perth suburb of Tuart Hill on January 3 when Lester fatally stabbed Lachlan Harris, 53, and attacked Darren Nash, 41, at a Lena St property where he was staying.

Lester then broke into a neighbouring Royal St property, taking two knives, and stabbed Michael Di Silvio, 60, whom he didn’t know.

State prosecutor Michael Cvetkoski told the court on Wednesday that charges of aggravated burglary and stealing were being dropped despite the knives used in the attack being sourced from Mr Di Silvio’s address in what Mr Cvetkoski described as “technical stealing”.

Lester was remanded in custody until his first appearance before the WA Supreme Court on November 20.
