NT Police launch quiet new roads operation

THE NT's road toll is more than four times that of the national average, and police have launched a new operation in an attempt to minimise deaths.

NORTHERN Territory Police have quietly launched a new campaign aimed at reducing serious crashes and road fatalities.

ON Friday, police announced that Thursday had marked the beginning of a 12-day operation that will focus on different aspects of road safety.
