Censure of NT deputy leader fails
NT Labor attempted to censure Willem Westra van Holthe over his controversial business dealings with Vietnamese CT Group.
IN his controversial personal business dealings with a Vietnamese company, the Northern Territory's deputy chief minister betrayed good judgment and community expectations, the Labor opposition says.
BUT on Thursday Labor lost a motion censuring Primary Industry Minister Willem Westra van Holthe for his planned investment of $570,000 in a mega-mall project of CT Group, a company his girlfriend worked for and with whom the NT government is working to develop a $140 million dragon fruit farm in the top end.
