$75m upgrade for Alice Springs power
A POWER station upgrade due to be completed by December next year should result in a 15-20 per cent reduction in prices, the NT government says.
THE Owen Springs power station in Alice Springs will get a $75 million upgrade, which the Northern Territory government says will increase reliability and efficiency of supply and reduce prices.
THE expansion, due to be completed by December 2017, will also create 49 direct full-time jobs, the government said on Friday.
