Sydney’s A-listers flock to Centennial Park for Polo in the City
IT ONLY feels like yesterday that all eyes were on the fashion stakes at the Spring Carnival. But over the weekend — it was Sydney’s turn to roll out the red carpet.
AFTER what was a rain-drenched night before, Sydneysiders weathered the morning storm in their finest frocks and linen suits to attend Saturday’s exclusive Polo in the City event.
Celebrating it’s 11th year in action, Sydney’s Centennial Park was awash with lace and pastels for the exclusive event — which turned out a star-studded line up.
Calling for floaty dresses and comfortable wedges, the event was a little more relaxed than what was seen at the Spring Racing Carnival earlier this month.
Sunrise’s Samantha Armytage lead the charge in the ‘Miami-themed’ Land Rover Marquee, alongside co-host Edwina Bartholomew.
Myer ambassador Kris Smith was all smiles as he attended the launch of the summer polo season, arriving with digital marketer Bonnie Borland.
The 38-year-old recently split with his long-term girlfriend Maddy King.
Both Terry Biviano, wife of former NRL star Anthony Minichiello, and Kate Waterhouse wore Zimmerman frocks topped off with Helen Kaminski brimmed hats. Terry looked stunning in black, while Kate went for a mid-length white lace look.
Kyly Clarke entered the mingled without husband Michael Clarke, looking cool and casual in a two piece By Johnny ensemble.
Land Rover ambassadors Sally Fitzgibbons and George Greegan kicked off the series, which will travel around the country over five weeks in five states.
The luxury car brand partners with equestrian events all around the world, including the British Polo Day to the World Equestrian Games held in Normandy, France.
