Edwina Bartholomew suffers wardrobe malfunction at the Melbourne Cup

SUNRISE presenter Edwina Bartholomew suffered an awkward wardrobe malfunction at the Melbourne Cup, but she took it in good humour.

SUNRISE presenter Edwina Bartholomew was all smiles despite having an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction at the Melbourne Cup this morning.

Before the first race even kicked off, the bubbly blonde took to social media to express her concern over a split up the back of her Solace London frock.

“When you dress splits up the back and it’s not even 10am,” the 33-year-old wrote.

“Thanks for the quick stitch up Gen!”

Bartholomew was in Melbourne hosting Sunrise along with Samantha Armytage, Mike Amor and Natalie Barr.

“They say a stitch in time saves nine. I needed about 100 to save mine,” Bartholomew told news.com.au of the wardrobe malfunction.

“Gen from wardrobe was dispatched to the Birdcage to save the day.

“Luckily I was wearing Spanx!”

This isn’t the first time Bartholomew has suffered from an awkward wardrobe hiccup. Earlier this year while attending the Premier’s Games Appeal Dinner in Adelaide, the dress split “right up the wazoo” as soon as she put it on.

“That moment your split, splits right up the wazoo and you have to steal a dress from a Brazilian dancer,” she wrote on her Instagram post in July.
