Melbourne Cup: Elyse Knowles risks wardrobe malfunction in plunging dress

Elyse Knowles looked stunning in a plunging leopard print mini-dress. But the daring outfit forced her to take swift action to protect her modesty.

Elyse Knowles might be one of the best-dressed celebrities out there but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to the risks of a wardrobe malfunction.

As The Block star prepared to attend the Melbourne Cup, she shared a video of herself on Instagram as she made final adjustments in a plunging leopard print dress.

“Getting ready early for the first time ever in race history,” Knowles said to the camera, careful to place one hand across her chest to avoid any mishaps.

The Myer ambassador looked stunning in the animal print frock, paired with a wide-brimmed black hat and classic pumps.

Sporting a golden tan, Knowles kept her hair and makeup simple with just a hint of a smoky eye.

Knowles’ Melbourne Cup look comes after she pushed the fashion police rules on Saturday at Derby Day.

The model wore a white blazer dress which featured cut-out sections over her midriff, in breach of dress code rules for Victoria Racing Club members.

But Knowles wasn’t the only one to push the fashion envelope that day, with Nadia Bartel also wearing a white dress in the Birdcage that featured cut out sections.

Knowles was named as Myer’s ambassador in July 2018, taking over from former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.

The blonde beauty rose to fame after winning The Block with her partner Josh Barker in 2018.

In March this year, Knowles and Barker moved to Byron Bay seeking a more laid-back life, revealing it had always been a dream for the couple.

“The new adventure has begun! We have packed up our lives and we are moving to Byron Bay!! I can’t believe it’s happening and it’s real now! So excited for our new adventure with my man @joshy.barker,” Elyse posted on March 4.

Josh was shared his excitement, saying “Today is the start of our 12 month working holiday in Byron Bay, so if your (sic) from the bay and need a builder send me an email,” he wrote on the same day.
