‘Recognised four times’: Abbie Chatfield opens up about first sex party experience
Abbie Chatfield has opened up about her first experience at a sex club, and the awkward thing that happened to her “four times” while there.
Abbie Chatfield has shared the moment a bartender “recognised” her while attending a sex party for the first time.
The Australian media personality opened up about the recent experience during an episode of her LISTNR podcast It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield, describing it as her “first effort at being more queer and breaking my seal”.
“I went to pre-drinks before [the party]. I was very nervous. What does one wear to a sex party? I don’t know,” Chatfield said. “Do I bring vibrators or toys, or do I not? I brought a vibrator.”
“Then we go to the sex party, there were lockers. I walked in, and a bartender recognised me – which wasn’t very conducive to horniness,” she continued.
“It was fine – like, she didn’t mean to do it, but I was like [singing], ‘I’m not going to be f**king anyone tonight because my p*ssy is now dried.”
Chatfield didn’t let the awkward encounter deter her, however, and began exploring the three-level club with her friends.
“There were three levels: downstairs was like a dungeon, which was pants on – you can have t*tties out, but pants on,” she explained.
“[In the dungeon] people are getting smacked – in a consensual way. It was fun, but I turned into a virgin. I was so nervous. I didn’t think I’d be so frigid and prudish – like, not judging anyone, but [I was] just overwhelmed and overstimulated.”
Upstairs, she said, “it was a free-for-all … in a good way”.
“Everyone ran to the orgy room and they all started f**king. The orgies began with couples having sex – people who are already sleeping together, or dating each other, or came with their play partners,” Chatfield said.
She added that she felt weird joining in – which wasn’t helped by her continuing to be recognised by other attendees at the party.
“At this point, I had been recognised four times. They saw me, they had a shocked face and knew it was inappropriate to say anything, so they kept walking, but I still knew they knew who I was.”
If she were to try her luck again at a sex party in the future, Chatfield joked she’d do so while “maybe wearing a gimp mask, or with a wig on and sunglasses … in a hot way”.
“And I’d probably only go with someone I’ve had sex with,” she said.
Following a string of relationships with fellow high-profile personalities that have played out in the media – most notably her open relationship with The Bachelorette alum Konrad Bien-Stephens – Chatfield told Stellar in May she’ll “never” again utter the name of someone she’s sleeping with in public.
“I don’t think I would [date publicly again], unless I was with someone for a long time,” she admitted.
“I’m going top say unless I was engaged. I might change my mind but, right now, I don’t think I have the capacity to be with someone publicly.
“If they’re in this industry, it causes so much sh*t. If they’re not in this industry, they’re getting dragged into my life, which isn’t really fair.
“If I’m sleeping with someone, I will never share their name. I don’t care about rumours, I only care if rumours are true. And I don’t want people to have anything to go off.”
