‘Big relief’: Jana Hocking reveals the sex fact that will blow men’s minds

Jana Hocking has revealed the all-too-common sex move that men think is essential – but which is actually a massive turn off for women.

Dating Advice: The six types of men to avoid on dating apps

OK men, there’s something I’m about to share with you that will probably come as a big relief.

Chatting to the girls the other night at dinner, we posed the question – would you rather a guy lasted 30 seconds or one hour in the bedroom?

We all agreed, we would rather they lasted 30 seconds. And believe it or not, it’s actually the BIGGEST compliment ever.

You know those ridiculous porn videos that go on forever? Yeah, well, they’re total BS. I mean, who actually wants to spend an hour in bed doing the same thing over and over again?

Tedious. Boring. Snore.

Seriously, I have a special man friend who sometimes pops over to my place on his work break, and the thrill of that quickie makes life worth living. In fact, on the odd occasion I’ve even dropped into his work on my way home from a night out and those five minutes in the back office have made for the perfect end-of-the-night treat.

However, thanks to porn and movies that make it look like couples are shagging all night, I believe men have developed this unnecessary anxiety around “lasting the distance” – but we honestly don’t want them to. I certainly don’t.

The truth is, women are more into quality over quantity when it comes to sex. A quickie can be just as satisfying (if not more so) than a marathon session.

And here’s why.

Foreplay is highly underrated

Think about it: foreplay is the appetiser. It sets the mood, gets you excited and makes the main course even more enjoyable.

So if you’re spending less time on the actual act, you can spend more time on building anticipation and desire. That’s where you want to spend most of the time.

Variety is the spice of life

A quickie doesn’t mean you have to stick to the same old routine. You can try different positions, toys or locations.

A quick shag in an office cupboard sure beats a boring long session stuck in missionary in a bed. The possibilities are endless.

It’s less stressful

Let’s face it, worrying about “lasting the distance” can be a real buzzkill. When you’re not under pressure to perform, you can relax and enjoy the moment.

We should be spending less time in our heads, and more in our bodies focusing on what feels good and helping each other climax.

It’s way more sustainable

If you’re having multiple quickies throughout the day (or week), you’re less likely to get tired or burnt out. And that means more sex overall.

A quickie before you get up for work? Marvellous. A roll in the hay before the kids get home? Saucy. A cheeky hand job on the way to work? Why not.

It allows women to take charge

Thanks to outdated ideas on a woman’s role in sex, many of us may feel pressure to conform to certain sexual stereotypes, such as being submissive or passive. A quickie can challenge these stereotypes and empower women to take control of their own sexual pleasure. A quick orgasm is often a great orgasm.

A quickie doesn’t have to mean boring. It can actually be rather fabulous. Plus, knowing that a man finds you so sexually attractive that he can barely contain himself is quite the ego boost.

So next time you’re feeling anxious about your performance, remember: it’s not about how long you last, it’s about how good it feels. And a quickie can be just as if not better than a marathon.

Trust me, your partner will thank you.
